Chester Pitts, a veteran offensive guard coming off microfracture knee surgery, agreed to terms Thursday with the Seahawks as the club continues adding depth wherever possible. Pitts, 31, started every game for seven straight seasons for the Houston Texans before injuring his knee two weeks into last season. He's regarded as one of the top remaining free agents, though his health didn't allow him to fully workout until just recently. The Seahawks released defensive end Robert Henderson and linebacker Anthony Heygood, which clears room for Pitts as well as rookie draft pick Golden Tate, whose signing has still not been announced officially by the team. Pitts played for new Seahawks line coach Alex Gibbs in Houston and is a veteran of his zone blocking scheme.

:icon_rolleyes: We will see if he even makes the team. It would be nice for him to make a full recovery.
