The Seattle Seahawks have struck a five-year, $21.1 million deal with first-round safety Earl Thomas, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. The former University of Texas star received just over $12.3 million in guaranteed money. Thomas ran a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at the Longhorns' Pro Day workout. At 5-foot-10, 208 pounds, Thomas has outstanding instincts, range and is a physical tackler. Thomas ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, also bench pressing 225 pounds 21 times. Source: National Football Post
Thomas was taken nine sports after Eric Berry and received a third of what Berry got with Kansas City. Just some food for thought.... **********Automerged Doublepost********** Fixed.
