Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth Still A No-Go For Test

Albert Haynesworth's sore knee has kept him from taking the Washington Redskins conditioning test for the third straight day. The Haynesworth soap opera entered its second week Thursday when the two-time All-Pro defensive lineman again didn't attempt the test he needs to pass in order to practice with the team. Haynesworth failed the test each of the first two days of training camp, but since then, his left knee has hampered his efforts to try again. He started the test Monday but stopped when the knee acted up. Haynesworth continues to learn the Redskins defense as a spectator, watching the drills usually with a play sheet in his hand, he also attends team meetings and has been hitting the blocking sled after practice.

Does Haynesworth have a legitimate knee injury or is he just lazy?

Well there have been reports that his knee is swollen but I think he's pissed too that Shanahan is making him do this.

I don't get football players. I really don't. Can't wait for this new CBA to come out.

He's knee is swollen, but there's no doubt he's freaking with Shanahan, plain and simple. They are just fighting back and forth, honestly this crap gets funnier by the day to me. Especially when they ask Shanahan questions cause you can tell he doesn't give a damn and is just annoyed.

It's like Dungy said yesterday on SportsNation, "You get paid to make tackles, not run drills, I'd let him play." He was saying that from what Lombardi said and he's one of the 'old style coaches' and he'd let Haynesworth in. I like the fact Shanahan isn't backing down, but we're coming close to the first preseason game and as I've said we're better with him out there.

I remember one of the reporters asking Shanahan if he should have a MRI done considering his knee is so bad and he was just shaking his head like you dumb butt you actually believe he's hurt. LOL.

Oh would you look at that, looks like Shanahan is making Haynesworth get an MRI today haha. This should be good.

If Vince would be his coach, Fat Al would do what he's asked or he would be gone. Lombardi wasn't playing games and doesn't matter what your numbers are.

Sure, but at the same time Vince lived by that too, he didn't give a heck about oh run this drill. He'd know Haynesworth was a beast and would have him practicing.

actually he would've cut hanesworth after ripping him to shreds and probably had a asst coach dumped him off on the shores of lake michigan with nothing but his jock strap and a bag a cheese.
