Last month, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson that talk regarding unhappiness with his contract can be "put to rest." Well, it now can be exhumed. Appearing Wednesday with our main man Paul Allen of KFAN in Minneapolis, Peterson admitted that he wants "to at least talk about" a new contract. But he made it clear that he relies on his agents to handle those discussions. Source: ProFootBallTalk
well if he can't get a new deal then this will leave a stain on the Vikings front office..AP can look on the bright side his favorite team while growing up will welcome you with open arms.
When he learns how to hold onto the ball and not choke in a big game he can then worry about discussing his contract until then he should shut the heck up!!
He has plenty of time to learn how to hold onto the football. Not a concern at all for the Vikings. He will fix it.
If you look at numbers more deeply, Adrian Peterson has had more carries then both Walter Payton and Tony Dorsett over their first three seasons in the league, and Payton and Dorsett both had more fumbles then Peterson. It can be fixed.
No...Favre's interception cost them dearly and they're offering him more money...after AD showed up to camp and worked hard even though everyone knew he wanted a new contract, which he does deserve.
there's no comparison between farve and peterson farve had i believe only six interceptions . how many times dod peterson fumble i might enough fingers and toe to count them ... :icon_cheesygrin:
Don't think I'm bashing AP I think he is a damn good running back, but you don't need to worry about contract crap you need to concentrate on your game!!
Doesn't every player with two years left on their contract want to at least discuss it? I'm sure an extension will happen at the end of this season.
Some, like TO, discuss it before the ink is dried. AP should just stay away from the press on this...period.
Tried? What does that mean? No reason or benefit to commenting in the press except to feed the spin doctors in the media grist for their next columns. Nothing against AP personally but he's a big boy. He's the one in charge of opening his mouth or not.
They tried...handed him a new contract and he dropped it like it was a pigskin in a conference Title game.
