Browns cornerback Gerard Lawson has been charged DUI and hit-skip after he allegedly hit a parked vehicle in the Warehouse District in downtown Cleveland overnight on Sunday. "We are aware of the situation with Gerard and are continuing to gather all the information. Until we have done that, we will not make any further comment," Browns general manager Tom Heckert said in a statement to the Plain-Dealer. Lawson has been with the Browns since signing with the club as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2008. In 20 career games, the 5-10, 185-pound cornerback has three special teams tackles, averaged 14.4 yards on 8 kick returns, and returned one punt for 4 yards. Lawson is buried on the Browns' cornerback depth chart, and likely cannot afford to be running afoul of the law this summer.
