Green Bay Packers safety Atari Bigby will miss at least four weeks after having ankle surgery earlier this month, putting his availability in doubt for the team’s season opener at Philadelphia. Bigby says it would be “very disappointing†to start the season on the team’s physically unable to perform list. He is expected to be out 4 to 8 weeks, so even if he makes it back quickly, he still would have little time to get ready for the Sept. 12 opener. Bigby had surgery on his troublesome left ankle Aug. 6. If he begins the season on the physically unable to perform list, he would miss the first six weeks of the season. Source: Associated Press
Who do the Packers have behind him? They are going to need that defense to be sharp if they want a division title this year.
I already said it in another thread, we suck completely on this positions (secondary). I hope some rookie will step up.... :icon_frown:
Derrick martin is a good backup..the only reason he got burned last year is cuz he was thrown into his first game as a packer like 4 days after being traded here. We do have morgan burnett...who i think will come into his own. We also have blackmon converting to a safety..so well see. Weve been in this same situation before though guys, dont forget. Bigby's ALWAYS hurt. I am scared at out lack of depth tho.
