NFL fans that don't have access to DirecTV's satellite-based TV service will have the ability to buy the provider's exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket package for the first time this season. DirecTV will sell Sunday Ticket (which allows fans to watch all the NFL games each week) via an internet package to non-DirecTV subscribers. It's an extension of a program that began in New York City last year and is rolling out nationwide this season but it's aimed at fans who aren't able to access DirecTV service, which requires a satellite with a clear south-facing view. Customers will need to verify that they aren't able to access DirecTV. The cost of the package is $350.

    Crowned Doesn't give a shit.

I don't get why NFL.com doesn't just do a season package like MLB tv where you can all games for a fee, regardless of wether directtv is in the area or not. I'll continue to watch streaming games for free I'm sure.

350$ / 17 weeks in the sports bar = $20.58 per week to spend from 1 until 7:30 or 8. I would spend that much by kickoff. And you don't get the remote. And you aren't at your house. And you only get volume for one game (that part can be a blessing sometimes).

So you'd rather spend $350 to be chained to your computer from 1 till 8 every Sunday? Nah, I'll go look at some butt and watch my games.

Nah, I'd hook the laptop up to the flat screen and watch it. But I have directv already, so i don't have to. I still go out and watch the games at the bar occasionally. I'm just saying if you watch all of your team's games at the bar, you probably already spend way more than 350 dollars on it.

I gotcha. With the Bucs home games likely to be blacked out this year it really doesn't mater either way.

$350 is a lot (so is $300 for people with directv), but cpgobrowns broke it down for ya'll, rep. When you break it down it make a lot more sense for a lot of us. It's better to have it as an option than to not. This would be great for fans who travel a lot on business who can now still catch all the games on Sunday.
