Many Cleveland Browns fans were excited when the Browns were able to land QB Colt McCoy in this past years draft, but is his career over in Cleveland before it has a chance to begin? The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that McCoy is one of 8 players which are on the bubble right now to be cut outright. Now McCoy has been dealing with a sprained thumb and the leaking of this news to the newspaper might be the Browns simply wanting to light a fire under McCoy, During Brown's OTA's this summer, McCoy was said to have looked good, and the plan all along was to bring McCoy along slowly. Browns president Mike Holmgren said during the off season that he had no plans to play McCoy this season.

Highly doubt they let him go. Browns don't have the balls...lol...

  4. no way they let him go. Sure he won't play as a rookie but 3 years from now he may show more promise.

The Browns would never get rid of someone of Mccoy's talent. Who else do they have? Jake "the Interception" Delhomme and Seneca "the eternal backup" Wallace. Releasing McCoy would be a mistake of Ryan Leaf and JaWalrus proportions.

Someone of McCoy's talent? The eternal back-up is a nice suited nick name for him as well. And nothing can ever be as bad as Russell.

Yeah I don't really see much of a comparison between a possibly-cut third rounder and a former #1 overall who received millions upon millions to suck for a few years

I also think Seneca should be the starter....*struts off*

Agreed. I think Seneca is a solid starter, something that can't be said about Delhomme.

    Regardless...it's not Anderson and Quinn...lol.

I might take the eternal backup in McCoy over both of those chumps.
