Donovan McNabb's ankle is too sore for him to play in the Washington Redskins' last preseason game, and coach Mike Shanahan isn't saying for certain whether the quarterback will be ready in time for the regular-season opener against Dallas. McNabb sprained his left ankle in the second preseason game against Baltimore and sat out Friday's game against the New York Jets. Shanahan said Sunday that McNabb is day to day. The coach doesn't "know for sure" whether McNabb will be ready to face the Cowboys on Sept. 12. McNabb likely wouldn't have played this week anyway because Shanahan prefers to rest his starter in the final exhibition game to avoid injury. No. 2 quarterback Rex Grossman has said he won't play this week either. Source: Associated Press
Yeah I know, that's why I'm saying the games have begun. Kinda like Portis in 08, no way he plays, we all know who rushed.
He will fry this year....i just hope he lays off on us...everytime we play the skins we get whooped, we never play them in their bad years.
If the Skins line is as bad as everyone is making it out to be (funny, I only heard it was particularly bad after McGlass got hurt), then they better sit his butt out. He has enough of a hard time against Dallas' 3-4 with a healthy, solid line in front if him. He might need a stretcher by the end of that game.
The Skins O-line being terrible has been the talk of both towns since McNabb got traded but the truth is they have through three preseason games been the best o-line in the division.
That doesn't say much for the O-Lines within the division. Redskins better do whatever it takes to make sure that ankle heals up fine or else they are stuck with putting their faith in (ACK) Rex Grossman.
Lol. Exactly. Can always count on trusty phigles to come to Fragile's rescue. **********Automerged Doublepost********** So are you saying they are good or bad?
Still bad. Just not as bad as the rest. Or maybe they just look the best because they have been protecting the best QB in the division : D
The tackles have looked solid but the middle is looking very weak with teams keying on Rabachs struggles already.
