One month after losing a University of Maryland cornerback, the Ravens helped fill his void by acquiring another one. The Ravens traded a conditional draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for speedy cornerback Josh Wilson on Tuesday. This anticipated trade for a cornerback upgrades the Ravens' defensive backfield, which lost its top cornerback, Domonique Foxworth, to a season-ending knee injury at the end of July. Wilson, 25, is considered a significant upgrade at nickel back for the Ravens. There's a chance that he might start opposite Fabian Washington early this season if Lardarius Webb (who is coming off season-ending knee surgery) isn't ready to handle a full workload. "He's an extremely fiery and aggressive player, and I think he's very talented," said Foxworth, who played with Wilson for three years at Maryland. "I know his personality fits into what we're building here. Josh is a no-nonsense type of guy that fits in with this defense and what it means to be a Raven. Off the field, he is a high-integrity guy. He's a family man, who is very smart and community-minded." Source: Jamison Hensley, Baltimore Sun
In Ozzie we trust. :icon_cheesygrin: The Police in Seattle have issued an APB for Ozzie Newsome for Robbery and Theft. Fantastic move. Conditional 5th which could be a 4th depending on playing time for a 2nd rounder. No biggie there. Seahawks.Net boards are in the middle of a 13 page meltdown.:icon_cool:
we knew the ravens needed to add some help in the secondary since they were so thin. we will see how he does.
I guess Carroll is going back to college football again next year... **********Automerged Doublepost********** All that potential with that great draft and now...
They seem to be very happy with where he is at. Kelly Jennings is the starter for today but probably won't last long.
