For all practical purposes, Browns wide receiver Brian Robiskie is starting his NFL career this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sure, Robiskie was a rookie in 2009, but he caught just seven passes the entire season and spent most of the time on Sundays on the inactive list. “Last year was last year and everybody has put that behind us,†Robiskie said. “We’re focused on what we can do this year. We’re excited about the season.†Robiskie has been the constant topic among the coaches and players, in terms of his growth from his rookie year to this year. “He’s awesome I can’t wait to see him out there,†Josh Cribbs said. “He’s had a great, excellent OTA offseason and training camp. It will be exciting for him as soon as he gets out there and proves his worth in this league as he has over and over again in practice. I can’t wait to see him.†Robiskie thinks the Browns can continue the success, offensively, that they showed in the preseason. “All of the work we’ve put in the offseason and all of the work we’ve put in camp, now we’re out there for real,†he said. “That’s been our goal since the beginning of the off-season and that is to get better. Obviously, we’ve done some good things, but we want to just get better, not only this week, but every week.†Robiskie, like his teammates can hardly wait for Sunday. “It’s exciting for everybody,†he said. “We’re all excited for the opportunity to show what we can do.†Source: Scout.com
