Vikings RB Adrian Peterson Makes A Plea For More Carries

When asked if he was tired by Yahoo! Sports' Michael Silver after Minnesota's loss to the Saints on Thursday, running back Adrian Peterson replied "not at all," and made a plea for more carries. "I'll do whatever it takes," he said. "Whatever it takes to help this team win. I don't know if coach (Brad Childress) heard me, but I remember walking by in the second half on the sideline saying, hey, give it to me. Feed me. I don't know if he really heard me. But there's a lot to learn from this game." Peterson gained 57 yards on 13 first half carries on Thursday, but was given the ball just six times in the second half on Minnesota's 14-9 loss. Yes, the Vikings do have Brett Favre, but their 2010 will not be a successful one if they do not get the NFL's best running back more involved in the offense.

I do think he should have carried the ball a few more times, passing o doesnt look quite in sync yet so they should lean on him a little more until it does.

 

He ran very strong, he should never have less then 20 carries in a game.

 

He should have got the ball more in the second half

 

Peterson usually runs better in the second half, so he definitely should have had the ball more.

 

Yep and they were never out of the game so the running game was still very much an option.

 

This is why Childress is not respected he is a moron

 

I hope he kills himself, when he tried to talk to percy he wasnt even paying attention and was basically telling childress "eat a rod clown"

 

As long as his pleas aren't "Not guilty, your honor", give him the carries.
