This is regarding the pathetic offensive display of the Jets last night. Honestly one of the worst offensive outings that I can remember. I honestly believe that Rex Ryan is to blame for this. He put WAY too much pressure on a very young team by running his mouth all offseason and claiming that the Jets are going to do this and that and dominate everyone. The defense did great - which is to be expected when you have that much talent. But you could tell that these young guys on offense, namly Sanchez and Shonn Greene, were under too much pressure. On top of that the offensive coordinater needs to go, and he needs to go now. The fact that the Jets were up against a very intimidating Ravens defense on Monday night probably also played a role in it. I'll just say this much - if Sanchez and Greene perform anywhere near as badly next week we could end up seeing Mark Brunnel and LT as the starters for the rest of this year. Rex would be stupid to not consider it seeing as how their defense is good enough to get them to the Super Bowl. edit: it would appear that Rex Ryan has already pulled the trigger on Greene - he is no longer the starter.
i agree. i've been saying rexxy boy has been putting too much pressure on his players all off-season.
Agree. Ryan is to blame for ALL of the non-sense that is going on with the Jets right now. It's almost as if there is no discipline going on there. THe Jets could easily start this season 0-3...I'd like to see how he handles that...
Rex Ryan in Japanese is what I call "Ōkina kuchi shibō-crapsu no roba gōman sasu" which means "Loud Mouth Fat Ass Arrogant pr**k"
I agree was listening to B & C and they had some pretty good points about this.. NY Jets: WFAN's Boomer and Carton on MSG (9/15) ? MSG.com Video On Demand
Scaling back the offense could be a good idea, but it depends on what plays they decides to remove from the playbook. I know one thing for sure - Sanchez needs to practice throwing the ball DOWN field - he needs a LOT of practice doing that. They are going to get slaughtered if Sanchez keeps dumping the ball off to his RB on every passing play.
Simmons put it pretty well in his column today. He compared Ryan's not going for it on 4th and 1 to his ugly butt dog barking at the window like a bad butt every time somebody walks by. But the same dog rolls over, and pees itself when somebody actually comes in the house. Pretty much called him a loud mouthed vag.
