Patriots LB Jerod Mayo Believes Darrelle Revis' Injury Talk A "Decoy"

  1. New England Patriots LB Jerod Mayo doesn't believe the New York Jets' official position that CB Darrelle Revis is dealing with a hamstring injury. The Jets revealed Revis' hamstring injury on Thursday and on Friday listed him as probable for Sunday's Patriots visit to the Jets. And Mayo said he expects Revis to line up -- and be in tip-top shape. "When I saw that story, I thought the same thing. Look, he's healthy, he's 100% healthy. I'm not buying into that," Mayo said, via PatsFans.com and PFT. Revis and Jets coach Rex Ryan both said they expect the cornerback (who returned to the team on Sept. 6 after a 36-day holdout) to play. Mayo agreed, saying the injury was a "decoy." "So then everybody can be like, even if he goes out and has a great game, everybody will be like, 'Oh, he's the greatest,' " Mayo said. "He has a tender hamstring. He's coming out, running back sticks and stuff like that. I'm not buying into that."
