The NFL fined Houston running back Arian Foster and cornerback Glover Quin for actions stemming from last Sunday's win against Indianapolis. The Houston Chronicle is reporting that both Foster and Quin were fined $5,000 each. Foster, who rushed for a career-high and franchise- record 231 yards on 33 carries and scored three touchdowns in the 34-24 victory, was fined due to grabbing the facemask of safety Antoine Bethea near the end of a 42-yard run in the fourth quarter. Quin was fined for hitting Reggie Wayne when the receiver was in a defenseless position. He was also fined $5,000 earlier in the week by the league for a uniform violation due to not wearing his socks correctly. Source: The Miami Herald
HOLY CRAP, he wasn't wearing his socks correctly? I'm glad we've got people in the NFL watching for this kind of unacceptable behavior. Next thing you know, they'll be wearing jocks on the outside of their helmets, if you give them an inch. Good job Goodell, you'r the man.:icon_rolleyes:
I was expecting the fine for quin's helmet to helmet hit, but Foster's fine is bullcrap. He barely grabbed the face mask. He didn't even get flagged for it. The fine for socks is bullcrap too.
