Michael Vick is not publicly campaigning for the Philadelphia Eagles' starting QB job. But Vick says that whenever he does get a starting job again, he'll be better than he was when he last played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2006. "I'm 10 times better than I was four years ago," Vick told SI.com's Peter King after he led the Eagles to a 35-32 win in Detroit in his first start since 2006. Eagles coach Andy Reid reiterated that the now-healthy Kolb would return as starter next week. And Vick told SI.com he's content with the Eagles being Kolb's team. "I know Kevin can do it," Vick said. "I saw him do it all summer. For me, I've had a taste of it now, and now, finally, I know it's going to be there for me. If I have to wait another year, I can. I can be patient." Source: USA Today
He'll get another shot if he keeps looking like this. I'm really happy for the guy, say what you will, but he's learned a lot about the QB position from Ried and McNabb, and has learned a lot personally. I'm rooting for him as long as he stays humble, as long as he doesn't refer back to Falcons' Vick, he's got my support again. He's starting to look like the QB he SHOULD HAVE BEEN back in the day
10 times better... he played the Lions. He has looked good though, not hating. But still.. the Lions.
"If I played the whole season, people would see my flaws. But after a solid game against the Lions, I'll play situationally and just try not mess up my chance to start for someone next season." -Michael Vick
Exactly. No offense to any Lions fans that are here, but the Lions are not one of the best teams this league has to offer. While he had a VERY GOOD game yesterday, his performance does not signify the Second Coming of Dan Marino or Warren Moon.
the difference is that last year he took wildcat snaps and ran to the right...he looked small and like he was running scared. now hes looking really sharp and decisive, he looks to be turning into the prospect he was once looked at as. say what you want about him but he was an incredible prospect coming out of VT and it looks like hes started to really tighten up his passing game...not perfect but much improved under andy reid
Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles - Box Score - September 12, 2010 - ESPN Did you not see this game???
But like I said, it's what he always COULD have become, we're seeing a guy who could turn into a perennial pro bowler for being a great PBUTTER
He stopped being a super selfish player. He even said he learned a lot from McNabb last year and I think it was the best thing he could have happened to his career. Unfortunately for him Fat's is happy with his crapty "gun slinger" QB and Vick will end up in Buffalo or Cleveland.
Hoping everyone knew this was sarcasm... even if this is the internet, the sarcasm should've been seeping through your monitor.
