Cowboys Hold Players-Only Meeting

There was no card playing or loud talking at Valley Ranch on Monday. The Dallas Cowboys have no time for games and laughter. A players-only meeting was held Monday afternoon, led by veteran cornerback Terence Newman, to address concerns about the team's 0-2 start. Will the meeting help? That won't be known until Sunday afternoon after the Week 3 game against the Houston Texans, and following the players-only meeting, a team meeting and more positional group meetings, a testy coach Wade Phillips met with reporters.

Doesn't matter how focused the players are if Garrett keeps calling crapty plays.

 

All they can do is play hard and shut the heck up. If it's the coaches, they'll be exposed soon enough.

 

Clean up the mental errors and let the coaches do their thing.

If there going to have any hope of playing the Super Bowl at home....they better turn it around quick and not fall to 0-3.

Only three teams since 1990 have made the playoffs after starting 0-3 (1992 San Diego Chargers, 1995 Detroit Lions & 1998 Buffalo Bills) and just one team made the postseason after an 0-4 start ('92 San Diego Chargers).

The '92 Chargers are the only team to win a division title after an 0-4 start.

 

he never said any such thing. The meeting hadn't even happened in that video. Pay attention. The interviewer clearly asks him " terrance is calling a players only meeting today, what do you think he could say, what the speech could be about and if it could help "?

 

So it it better he said it won't help before it even happened?

 

yeah cause he's unsure of it. :) that and the fact he said " i dont know " about uh... 35 times in the entire video.
