The San Diego Chargers have drawn as much attention for the players they don't have with them this season than the players they do have. One of them appears to be back in the fold. A league source tells us that left tackle Marcus McNeill is at the team's facility right now and agent David Canter, who does not represent McNeill, reported on his Twitter account that the Chargers have signed the two-time Pro Bowl performer. That's a big move for the Chargers, who have cobbled together the offensive line in the absence of McNeill. Now, it remains to be seen if the organization can mend fences with wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who is not eligible to return until Week 7. Source: National Football Post
Maybe McNeil signing will make Jackson feel like a bigger douche or in some way convince him to sign, who knows.
I doubt it. Jackson seems entrenched in his douchebagery. The Chargers needed McNeill back though, there's no replacing someone of his natural talent.
Dombrowski has played better than him so far this season. Only thing was we were weak at depth so this will help there. Anyways pointless holdout, cost McNeil $2.5 million.
Yeah, very stupid indeed. He should have signed weeks ago when the original tender offer was on the table. He lost big time in all this. I'd be looking for a new agent.
The only way this works is if some long term deal happens in the next few weeks. I could see AJ doing it to piss off VJ's agents even more.
Yeah, to make a point and send a "message". We get it A.J.....you're the boss. Now....let's get onto winning.
very big for SD considering that the o-line wasnt exactly the strongest, hopefully they can get something done with Jackson as well
