Saints QB Drew Brees had an MRI on his left knee after the Falcons loss Sunday night, and the results were negative, a source close to the situation told CBSSports.com. Brees, however, was favoring his left leg Monday morning in the locker room even though he never left the game. Coach Sean Payton said Brees had his knee checked out after the game, and it wasn't serious. Payton said it's standard protocol to have all players checked out for injuries. Brees played well in the loss to Atlanta with 30 of 38 passing for 365 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.
