Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams had a breakout game Sunday against the Houston Texans. In fact, his whole season has been pretty good to this point, less one fumble in the Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears. He’s nearly on pace with his 2006 season with the Detroit Lions when he caught 82 passes for 1,310 yards and seven touchdowns. His motivation is not the fans or the addition of Dez Bryant to the roster that lit a fire under him. Instead, he’s using comments made by Michael Irvin to return his game to a high level. “If anything, Michael Irvin picked me up a little bit with the 10-on-11 comment,†Williams told KILT Radio in Houston (via sportsradiointerviews.com). “That really ticked me off and that’s taken me to another level. My thing is just be consistent, don’t worry about what everybody else says and just do my job.†Source: Football News Now
I agree, it really is. If I was Roy Williams.. My motivation would have been going to Dallas.. Instead of being stuck on a losing team, year in and year out.
Whatever it takes to get motivated. Because with Williams playing out of his mind it takes our offense to another level. I can guarantee that most teams don't even consider him a threat.. But with him playing like he is, it changes a lot of things up. I am actually loving it. lol GO COWBOYS!!
