Seahawks Agree To A Deal With Free Agent WR Brandon Stokley

  1. The Seattle Seahawks have reached an agreement in principle to sign veteran free-agent wide receiver Brandon Stokley after he had an impressive workout and passed a physical, according to sources close to the player and the team. In order to make room for Stokley on the 53-man roster, it is likely that running back Quinton Ganther would be released, a source said. Stokley, 34, was released by the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14 after reaching an injury settlement with the team. The Broncos had placed Stokley on injured reserved on Sept. 4 with a groin injury. The Seahawks believe he can become an effective slot receiver, and he has familiarity with the offense from his active time in Denver under current Seahawks offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates.

    Effective.....slot.....reciever.....

    Deon Butler says "Hello"

But he's not being used in the slot for whatever reason, so my point is moot.
