Titans CB Cortland Finnegan had said a couple of weeks ago that he would love to be voted the NFL's Dirtiest Player in the annual Sports Illustrated poll. He finished sixth in 2009, with Pittsburgh's Hines Ward the winner. But after being whistled for his second personal foul in as many weeks, Finnegan said he now believes he is a marked man by many NFL officials. "That's what upsets me a little bit. They let certain guys get away with it, and then guys they're looking for, they immediately try to nip it in the bud. It's not fair basically," Finnegan said. Finnegan was flagged Sunday after he dragged down the Giants' Steve Smith, who had given him a stiff arm. Finnegan said he expects to be fined for the second week in a row and that he plans to appeal for the second week in a row. Source: USA Today
It's not fair? What could be more fair than trying to stop a guy from skirting the rules? The obvious has already been said, don't be a dumbass and ask to be recognized then get pissed when the zebras take notice.
