Tennessee Titans first-round defensive end Derrick Morgan will miss the remainder of the 2010 season with a torn ACL, head coach Jeff Fisher announced. Morgan's injury is the latest in what has been a rough start to his NFL career. The 16th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech missed most of the Titans' OTAs with a pulled calf muscle, and pulled another part of the same calf muscle on the opening day of training camp, which kept him out for the first two pre-season games. Morgan (6-3, 278) had 5 tackles and 1.5 quarterback sacks in a reserve role this season. Source: Mac's Football Blog
Friggin A.....he was, you're right. That really sucks. D-Line went from a strength to a liability with the injuries first to Hayes, then Ford, Brown and now this? Babin, Ball and Hayes need to step it up. Morgan had a sack in each of his first two games and did enough on the run to show he could hold it down on his side.
Yeah, and he has 3.5 sacks for us so far this year too. I guess it just took some good coaching to get the skills out of him. Jim Washburn is a legend when it comes to D-Line coaches.
