Defensive end Ray Edwards expressed his displeasure on Monday with being fined $10,000 by the NFL for two separate incidents in the Vikings' victory over Detroit on Sept. 26 and also voiced his frustration with the league and how it treats his team. "I think they just hate the Vikings," Edwards said. "Me personally, I'm watching games and guys are getting holding calls. You watch our tape and we get held more than anybody but we don't get those calls. I guess because we're the outlaws, that's just how it goes." Edwards plans to appeal his latest fines, but admits he has never been successful in trying to get a fine overturned in four-plus seasons. Edwards has been fined on multiple occasions, including a $25,000 payment he had to make for a pair of plays that were considered unnecessary roughness after a 2008 loss to the Bucs. "I've lost every one of them," he said. "It's like you're getting grounded by your parents and you're trying to appeal to your parents why you shouldn't be grounded. You just try to win and hopefully they see something in the tape where they figure, 'Oh, we shouldn't fine this guy this time.'"

I didn't know Ray Edwards ever had any credibility. He is always saying something hecktarded. I will not be upset when he is off the team.

These fines border on insane. Guys getting fined for plays the refs didn't think were worth a flag. It's like the NFL has a cat patrol looking to bring the game down to the powder puff level. Many times players can't stop 280#s of inertia on a dime to keep from getting a late hit.
