Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was back at practice Wednesday on a limited basis. The Bears suffered a brutal 17-3 loss to the New York Giants in which Cutler got sacked nine times in the first half and left with a concussion. His status for this week's game at Carolina was unclear. League guidelines say he should get clearance from an "independent neurological consultant" before playing again. Martz said Cutler had "a meeting" after practice, presumably with a doctor, although he did not specify. Coach Lovie Smith said Cutler would meet with an independent doctor, but would not say when. Todd Collins will start if Cutler is not available.

He's lucky he got out of that game with his nuts, as hard as he was getting hit. Woow! It was like throwing a steak out in front of a pack of pit bulls. Was the whole offensive line stoned or what?
