Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay has been declared a sellout, extending the streak to a franchise-record 55 regular-season and postseason games. A late rush of sales and help from various entities helped to extend the streak. The late rush was aided when Major League Baseball announced that Sunday’s Game 3 of the NL Division Series against Philadelphia would be at 7 p.m. at Great American Ballpark. “It certainly helped since there was a little bit of a holdup,†said ticket manager Andrew Brown about how much the Reds late start time ended up benefiting the Bengals. “Now that there’s not any conflict fans can make a day out of it.†Fox19, which will air the game, Kroger and Fifth Third Bank led the way in helping ensure the blackout would be lifted, and the Bengals purchased tickets for distribution to local military families. Additionally, Bud Light, AT&T and Gold Star played key roles in assisting with efforts to allow the game to be aired live. Source: Cincinnati Enquirer
Must be nice - the rodhead Glazers won't even allow extensions of the deadline for Bucs games :icon_evil:
I thought it was usually the local businesses that bought the tix so their advertising would be shown?
Some do that, also some owners (not with the last name Glazer) will buy up the last of the tickets and give them to charities
