Wednesday, Darrelle Revis said he thought Patriots-turned-Vikings receiver Randy Moss was "putting his foot on the brake" in the second half of the Jets' Week 2 win. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who covered Moss in that second half, agreed. "He plays when he wants to," Cromartie said of Moss. "He didn’t have that same effort. I think you can see it on film." Moss had a 34-yard touchdown catch before halftime, but after the break had zero catches when targeted four times. "When you get in his face a lot, you get him frustrated," Cromartie said. But Cromartie said he didn't lose respect for Moss, who is one of the game's premier vertical threats and has amassed 935 catches for 14,604 yards and 151 touchdowns in 13 seasons in the NFL. "He has done great things in his career," Cromartie said. "You can't take away any of the things he's done." The Jets will see Moss again, of course, Monday night, after Wednesday's trade sent the 33-year-old back to the Vikings and Cromartie figures he'll see Moss' top effort again this week. "He's back at home," Cromartie said. "You never know what you're going to get from him." Source: Newark Star-Ledger
Its also interesting to note that the Jets are 23rd in pass yards allowed, giving up 233.2 yards per game. I was sure surprised to read that. 23rd in pass yards isn't much to brag about, but the Jets are doing very well in the one category that matters, points allowed, where they rank 7th.
