Browns Rookie QB Colt McCoy Might Start Vs. Steelers

Discussion in 'Cleveland Browns' started by BigBlueBruiser, Oct 11, 2010.

  1. Browns coach Eric Mangini says quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are both "hurting" and it's possible rookie Colt McCoy could make his first NFL start against Pittsburgh. Delhomme, who missed Cleveland's previous three games with a high ankle sprain, had to play Sunday after Wallace injured his ankle when he was sacked by John Abraham in the first half of the Browns' 20-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Wallace suffered a high ankle sprain during the loss, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. With both Delhomme and Wallace hurting, Cleveland signed quarterback Brett Ratliff off the Patriots practice squad and added him to its 53-man roster, an NFL source told Schefter. The Browns told Ratliff that he would back up McCoy in Pittsburgh this weekend.

much like there current offense with Delhomme and Wallace, check down after check down. I don't anticipate this start going to well for McCoy should he start.

wallace with a high ankle sprain is not good for cleveland. he was keeping them competitive. it could get ugly in cleveland now.
