Hurting at wide receiver with Pierre Garcon and Anthony Gonzalez dealing with injuries this season, the Indianapolis Colts tried to land wide receiver Devin Thomas off waivers from the Washington Redskins. According to a league source with knowledge of the situation, the Colts put in a waiver claim for Thomas. However, Thomas wound up being awarded to the Carolina Panthers.
