I had higher expectations than this, Every Dallas fan had higher expectations than this. But here we sit, heading into the toughest game on our schedule so far, and we are sitting at an un-bearable 1-3. It just seems like everyone on the damn team is doing about a half-ass job besides a couple of players. Who would of thought the 2 games Roy Williams actually does decent and does what he is capable of we lose both games. I don't know who is to blame here. It seems like it is a different problem each week. This week, Romo was running for his life every other play, which in the end equaled 3 INTs. Yet, despite having a 1-3 record, NOTHING IS BEING DONE. I have no clue what the front office is thinking. I'm NOT saying FIRE WADE. I'm saying what we have done so far obviously hasn't got the job done. There is still time to get the crap together, start winning some damn games, and contend for the division. But the time is running out. The schedule doesn't get any easier. I think everyone knows that this Sunday "The Panic Bowl" Is a MUST WIN game for both teams. I can only hope that we come out and do what we are capable of doing. And if we get beat, a drastic change SHOULD be in store, but knowing JJ, he will wait until 2 weeks after week 17 and kiss this damn season good-bye. It's not too late, but the time is now.

3 Simple Solutions to turning things around...

    1. Cut down Romo's pass attempts
    2. Give Felix anywhere from 15-30 touches a game
    3. Force Turnovers

Now I would mention cut down on penalties but that would be asking too much and probably something we'll never address under this current group of coaches. We're only a quarter of the way into the season so maybe you and all the critics should chill. Seriously... Sure we didn't get off to the start we expected but that doesn't mean we're out of the picture or that we can't beat the teams left on our schedule. I just can't stand NFL fans more so than any other league, they are so fickle, opinions on how good a team is are changed on a weekly basis.

    THIS

What good is a 350 yard per game QB when your team can't run the ball.
The problem isn't so much Felix not getting enough touches, it's the horrible offensive line that is killing the Cowboys.

The penalties are crushing are rhythm at times. I mean when you're OL is taking 10 yard penalties every drive that's just 10 more yards you need to gain back and you can't keep putting the offense in 2nd-3rd and long situations. Felix does need more touches though, If it was my call I'd be giving Felix the ball at least 15 times and I'd try to get him included in the passing game, why not line him up in the slot and also get him motioning out of the backfield. Then I'd make Choice #2 RB and I'd try to give him at least 5 carries a game. Let him run in the razorback at times and in Shotgun, he's an effective RB and we should really include him in our offense. Barber I'd use in goaline situations and maybe 3rd downs he's a good running back and still starting material but Felix is better and needs the touches cause he can take it too the house on any given play.

JJ could pull an Al Davis and replace Mr. Twinkies with Hudson Houck the offensive line coach

    Huh?

    Anyways..............

    Discipline is killing us

Offensive line is erratic, makeing it hard to get in a rythem and finish drives. Overall hasnt been "terrible", we are racking up chunks of yards. Our skill players are in synch and performing, but we cant finish drives, or sustain success like in the past mainly IMO to discipline and erratic play from the OL

Defensinly we have gotten too complacent IMO, and that falls on Phillips. For a scheme like this, or any other scheme you label "exotic", you have to keep teams guessing. Your supposed to beat teams mentally, not man to man. Disguised coverages and blitz's are great and all. But blitz's have to be unpredictable, and timed properly. The QB is gonna know what coverage the CB is in once the play starts, so without an effective blitz, disguising coverage is pretty much pointless...........Jay Cutler tore us apart, and he is a rah-tard

All in all I think this is the last stand of this coaching staff. Unless they catch on white fire, Wade and Garrett are gone. Good news is this might be Jerry Jones last year as the main shot caller. He gave Stephan alot of pull after 2008 (who do you think cut TO and Pac Man, sure as crap wasnt Jerry), and another crapstorm season like that and he could give up even more.

I agree with this 100%!! Especially the part about Jerry stepping down some and letting Stephen take the wheel. Once Stephen Jones takes completely over I think it is open season in Dallas. Coaches, players and staff all have to be accountable. Stephen doesn't heck around like Jerry does... One thing I really like about Stephen is, he will admit it if he makes a mistake. (unlike that assclown Jerry)

I actually telling this exactly this to a worker of mine. We talks football all the time. But told him same thing about Stephen and firing TO. And I also said Wade could win the SB and I bet he still gets fired

God i hopeStephen takes over as GM. Jerry has blown it again the O-LINE needed fixing after that playoff debacle against the Vikings and nothing was done. Davis skills has eroded can't handle the qyuicker linemans The o-line would be okay if they bench Davis and put an athletic guy there and maybe they can run the ball bettewr.

Meh. Things won't change for the Cowboys, power wise, until Jerry dies.

The solution to our line problems I truly feel rest on the shoulders of Montrae Holland (at this point). He hasn't been bad at all, and even last year he wasn't as terrible as people were making it seem. It'd be best to let him take over and see how things go.

I don't want to see Wade fired. At worst, I'd like to see him demoted to DC, and let him focus on that. Because that's what he knows best.

In terms of Felix's touches and homerun ability, he does need touches. There's no denying it. But Barber is still a good back, and so is Tashard. So you have to admit it's a difficult situation. The only solution is moving one out of town and handing the ball to the other two. The right call was the one wanted prior to the season, and that was shipping out Marion. I believe they didn't do that due to questions about Felix's durability. This was a major question obviously so while they made the smart call, it may not have been the right call... because the right call definitely was to ship Marion out, and see what happens from there. Because even with Felix gone hurt, we obviously still have Choice so essentially... they're being over-cautious and making a difficult situation more difficult. I still think we should trade Marion before the deadline. Someone has to want him.

The defense shows flashes of brilliance, and flashes of WTF.. I don't know what the heck happened to Jenkins against the Titans but that can't happen again. And I don't think it will, really. This defense obviously can be great when they're focused and in sync, but like the rest of the team, nothing seems to be in sync half the time.

All in all, the season isn't necessarily a wash if we lose to Minnesota, but it's definitely only hanging on my a thread.

P.S. I still hate Garrett. And always will.

P.P.S. Jihad Joe, you were right. I do want to trade for a declining CB Champ Bailey and convert him to FS and see how it goes, cuz I think it has a good shot at being dominant. It could completely and utterly fail, sure.. but if it doesn't, think of how great it'd be. It's only a dream of mine, however. It's not like we weren't about to do the same to Anthony Henry before we traded him.

I agree 100%. By not making the move they are stifling the development of Jones and Choice. They need a 1-2 punch, not a 1-2-3 jab.

The biggest things that have surprised me is the playcalling, poor defense, and lack of discipline (penalties). The penalties are the biggest reason I'd be looking to replace Wade if I were a fan.

Wade's got to start cracking the whip some. Some people need the talent forced out of them.

I think the biggest problem with Wade, and the staff in general is that there supposedly is a rift between Wade and Garrett. Wade basically has no control over the offense. That could stem from one of two (or maybe both) things. 1- Wade is in fact the DC as well as the HC (freaking terrible idea, especially when when you are basicly a middle of the pack HC to begin with) 2- Garrett was given more power to keep him from jumping ship post 2007 when Jones still wanted him groomed to be our future HC

At this point...is Jerry still sold on Garrett as the "Jimbo Fisher" of Dallas?
