Vikings To Fire Brad Childress If Team Loses To Patriots?

Discussion in 'Minnesota Vikings' started by BigBlueBruiser, Oct 31, 2010.

  1. According to Pro Football Talk, a loss to the Patriots today could result in the firing of Vikings head coach Brad Childress. If he starts Tarvaris Jackson and Minnesota is losing at halftime, he might not be allowed to come out for the second half. Kidding aside, considering he just received a contract extension last offseason, Childress is unlikely to be fired in season this year.

I'm sure it wont happen midseason. Just pisses me that Childress was extended last year due to Favre's miracle. Was a stupid decision, I don't think there is any other team that would have been dumb enough to 'lure' Childress away. He was stuck with the Vikes extension or no extension.

The Vikings certainly have turned into a sideshow or circus act.

Reid would find him a job guaranteed and he'd have his old job back by the start of next year

Reid wouldn't have lured him away from his HC job to be an OC again, that was my point. There was no reason to extend him before his contract expired, could have just gave him a 1 year extension when his contract expired, he was going no where else.
