Calling my formula after my surname seemed a bit lame, so here's the new name (Power Rankings without East Coast Bias). After finding some key flaws in my previous formula, I've adjusted it so that it meets my target of utilizing the Strength of Victory of Teams they are beating/losing (Eg. usually a team may be 6-1, but beating the worst six teams in the league would still mean they are a strong team to beat in SoV rankings, in these, the value of beating the 6-1 would be much reduced). Point Difference is still in, but it's effect has been reduced quite drastically. Left: Old Formula Right: PRWECB
Pretty cool on the side by side. I feel better about the new one as I scan down the list. I don't think blow out wins should be overrated, so I'm glad you reduced it.
I've just realized that I've cocked up the new formula as well (The Second one actually had teams being penalized more for losing against strong teams than against weak teams) :|, I'll put up the proper ones in the first post Actually screw that, I'll list the top 10 and Bottom 5: Colts Falcons Patriots Titans Giants Steelers Chiefs Ravens Bucs Packers ------------------- 49ers Broncos Cowboys Panthers Bills
