A permanent changing of the right tackle appears to be afoot in Green Bay. While head coach Mike McCarthy didn't commit to keeping rookie Bryan Bulaga as the starter beyond Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys, the prospects for veteran Mark Tauscher to regain the job aren't good. Tauscher hasn't played since he suffered a shoulder sprain in the Week 4 win over the Detroit Lions. The 11-year veteran has been back on the practice field the last few weeks but hasn't done anything of significance as Bulaga continues to take the first-team reps. Even with Tauscher's condition improving and the possibility he could be healthy enough to play again after Green Bay has its bye next week, McCarthy suggested the team will stick with Bulaga, its first-round draft pick out of Iowa. "There's some things he needs to do better this week than he did last week," McCarthy said. "But, overall, he's improved from his first start to now. It's his job to keep it, and he needs to work with that mentality." Source: USA Today
