Kenny Wilkerson of WIST radio in New Orleans reported on Thursday that Saints quarterback Drew Brees has a small fracture and a torn meniscus in his left knee. Brees originally suffered soreness in his knee after the game against the Atlanta Falcons on September 26th and was sporting a knee brace in practice the following week. Brees, along with coach Sean Payton, have denied Wilkerson's reports, calling them "inaccurate" and "completely false." On Friday, Len Pasquarelli of The Sports Xchange reported that several NFL defensive players have spotted in film study that Brees is favoring his right leg, not his left. "Watching him on tape, he almost seems to be a little tender when he's planting with his leg," an unnamed defensive end told Pasquarelli. "I mean, word was getting around the league a little bit, you know? You look for that kind of stuff. Any kind of edge you can get, really. They say the film doesn't lie, but maybe we were all seeing something -- and I compared notes with some [defensive] line buddies who agreed -- we just wanted to see." Source: Pro Football Talk
This story was disputed on Friday and said to be totally fabricated by the writer. Makes you wonder...
Banged up is a far cry from the crap they are making up. By now many players are limping, and bruised. It's not freaking badminton.
