The New England Patriots lost K Stephen Gostkowski for the remainder of the season on Wednesday when they placed him on injured reserve. Gostkowski suffered a thigh injury that knocked him out of Sunday's 34-14 loss at Cleveland. WR Wes Welker took over the kicking duties temporarily. The Patriots signed free agent K Shayne Graham this week to replace Gostkowski. Gostkowski, who has made 84.3% of his career field goal attempts, has never missed a game since he joined the Patriots in 2006. Source: USAToday
Well, it's good to see a former Raven (sort of) catching on elsewhere. Too bad the Lions' job wasn't Stover's, though.
If Shayne Graham does well enough in New England, then maybe Gostkowski will be the journeyman next year.
