The Carolina Panthers has solved their lack of veteran quarterback dilemma by signing free agent quarterback Brian St. Pierre , Darin Gantt of The Charlotte Observer reports. St. Pierre has joined the Panthers' practice squad, replacing linebacker Sean Ware. A fifth-round pick (163rd overall) out of Boston College by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2003, St. Pierre has completed 2-of-5 passes for 12 yards with a touchdown and an interception in two appearances in his seven-year career. In addition to two stints with the Steelers, St. Pierre played for the Baltimore Ravens (2005) and the Arizona Cardinals, where St. Pierre spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as the number three quarterback behind Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart.
