The San Francisco 49ers benched guard Chilo Rachal in Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams for missing practice last week to see the birth of his son, Chilo Jr., according to ProFootballTalk. The report says that Rachal did play, but only after his replacement, Adam Snyder, suffered a sprained ankle. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Rachal disagreed with the decision to bench him and said, "I'm a competitor, I want to play." The 49ers beat the Rams 23-20 in overtime.

Why did they bench him? anyone who punishes someone just for missing practice because of going to see your own child be born, is an Butthole.

there are a lot of butthole bosses in this world. in 1999, i missed the first few days of a company sales meeting/trade show out of state for the birth of our twins (#3 and #4) and some of the management at the company frowned upon it.
