Patriots running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis was fined $5,000 for his chop block in the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a league spokesman. Green-Ellis was penalized 15 yards for the play that happened inside the Steelers' 15-yard line. The Patriots managed a field goal on the drive. It was a chop, but legal if Light hadn't barely touched the guy rushing in. I don't think Green knew the guy had been touched at all by his confussed reaction. Rule made so a guy can't get chopped, well being stood up by another player. Tacky foul, and certainly didn't deserve a fine. A lot of these fines don't take in consideration the situation, and intent.
