Well after seven straight losses, the last of which came at the hands of the Bills on Sunday, Cincinnati WR Terrell Owens blew up. When asked what it was like to be part of a crazy game like this the Bengals wideout had an answer ready. “Crazy? What’s crazy is the fact that we’re just terrible,†said Owens. â€That’s just plain and simple. When I say we, that’s me included. Let me look you in the eyes and emphasize — we are terrible. Terrible. I have no answers for you. I have no sound bytes for you. All I know is, right now, we are terrible. Maybe if everyone wants to blame me, it’s my fault. Maybe I am bad luck. At this point, it is unthinkable — unbelievable — that we can lose a lead like that. And by no means am I taking anything away from the Buffalo Bills. Those guys are talented. They put on their pads and uniforms just like everybody else does. You go into every Sunday thinking it’s an opportunity to win a game, and they took full advantage of that. I don’t understand. I don’t know what it is. We find ways to lose the game. You would think that, having a lead going into halftime, we could capitalize and build off that. We may go 2-14 at the rate we’re playing.†When asked why they were so good in the first half and not in the second half, Owens didn’t have an answer. “I have no idea,†said Owens. â€We’re not good, period. We’ve made enough mistakes (in the last seven games) to last a lifetime.†Before Owens press conference concluded he mentioned a how they are terrible a fifth time. Cincinnati has now lost seven in a row. Source: BuffaloBills.com
He didn't say anything untrue or unreasonable based on what's shown here. I didn't go look at the rest but nothing bad here. I'm sure it'll be construed as the worst thing ever and he's a horrible person and he's killed the Bengals though by most of the people on this site.
Nobody "killed" the Bengals, they're just the Bengals after a brief stint in competitiveness. I thought this team was better too.
T.O. isn't wrong on this, he's 100% dead on. They are terrible. Up 28-7, you should close the game out, but they got complacent and let a fiesty Bills team comeback on them. Carson Palmer and Marvin Lewis both need to lose their job this season, or for the former, at least challenge it.
What's with Carson? At one time, prior to his injury, I thought he was going to be one of the Super stud QB's in the NFL.
