Titans owner Bud Adams said Monday that quarterback Vince Young and Coach Jeff Fisher are going to have to get along. Young and Fisher had a confrontation in the locker room after Sunday’s overtime loss to the Redskins, an incident Fisher followed up by telling media that Young is no longer the starting quarterback. Cooler heads will have to prevail going forward, said Adams, who talked with Fisher, Young and General Manager Mike Reinfeldt on Monday to get more information about what happened after the game. “They are going to have to work together. I haven’t given up on Vince, and I am sure Fisher hasn’t either,†Adams said by phone from his office in Houston. “Vince was upset and said some things he regretted after doing it, but you have to get to the bottom of it, straighten it out and move on. It is one of those things that happened. It has happened, it is all over with and we want to get Vince back and playing again for us. … These things happen. I have been at this thing for a long time, about 51 years now. I have seen a lot of things happen and I don’t want to go jumping off the building over something happening one time.’’ Young, who suffered a right thumb injury in the third quarter, became upset when Fisher opted to stick with rookie Rusty Smith to finish the game. Sources said Fisher and Young had words in the locker room, and when Young began to leave Fisher told him “not to run out on your teammates.’’ Young then told Fisher, “I’m not running out on my teammates, I’m running out on you,’’ sources said. The coach runs the team, not the owner. If the owner doesn't have confidence in his coach to handle this situation, he needs to find a new coach. I love all these owners who don't know crap about coaching a team, but love to get their nose in it.
No way, I'm enjoying the comedy show... entertainment for when our defense can't stop a model freight train.
lol, your team is tied with the Rams for petes sake you're going to need more comedy than Bud, Fisher and Young I'm afraid.
I am guessing that Bud will let Fisher go and get a "yes" man to replace him. Maybe it's time for Bud Adams to sell the team.
if they fire jeff fisher that would be pretty harsh. hes a good coach, young on the other hand..... not a good qb.... hmmmmm
I am becoming more convinced that Fisher will be gone after this season. No matter what he says, his demeanor is saying "I really don't want to be here."
Then, it's time for him to go. The same thing happened when the Dallas Mavericks fired HC Avery Johnson. Then, they hired Rick Carlisle. Now look at them.
