The Carolina Panthers have signed free agent S Gerald Alexander and waived WR Devin Thomas the team announced today. Alexander was drafted in the second round by Detroit in 2007 and started 30 of 39 games played in four seasons. Thomas started this season with Washington but was waived by them. Carolina then picked him up and now have waived him themselves. Source: CBSSports
