Brandon Jacobs, deposed as the Giants’ starting running back at the beginning of the season, will get his old starting job back this Sunday afternoon. Tom Coughlin made that somewhat surprising announcement this afternoon, saying that Ahmad Bradshaw’s fumbling problems have cost him his job. Coughlin added that “There will still be plenty of carries to go around,†and third back D.J. Ware may even get a few. But Jacobs will get the first when the Giants play the Jacksonville Jaguars. Whatever it takes to stop the turnovers...... Jacobs has been playing better in sometime.....let's see if he can continue that in a starting role.
Tiki Barber had a rough time early in his career and lost his job to Gary Brown. Barber regained it in 2000 but he had a fumbling issue for sometime. He corrected it, with Tom Coughlin's help, and became an All-Pro back. Bradshaw's demotion may not last long....but he has to take care of the football because these turnovers are deteriorating.
Getting paid killed this dude's motivation. He was running through safeties and linebackers before he got the coin. I actually really enjoy watching him play when his game is on. Hopefully he takes advantage of the chance to start again.
I think getting a second chance will light a fire in Jacobs that hasn't been lit in years. He was playing well in a limited role. Bradshaw at one point was the leagues leading rusher.....which is a real shame that he lost the gig because of fumbles. But Coughlin's team's generally don't turn the ball over. Even if Coughlin is a little more laid back these day's.....turnovers will never sit very well with him.

Good god, we're hecked now. I know we're in massive trouble with Smith and Nicks being out, but as horrible as Bradshaw's fumbles can be, starting Jacobs doesn't seem like the answer. He's just shown so very little this season. How come Bradshaw can't learn the Tiki Barber style of carrying the ball?
Bradshaw is a trooper, he won't make a big deal out of this, and he will still run hard when the opportunity presents itself. I also expect him to fix his fumbling issue over the off-season.
Meh. It's not a big deal since they will probably split the carries 50/50. AB has to learn how to hold that ball, tight, tucked and against the body.
I certainly believed he would, he has a drive like no other in the game. I think Peterson fixing his fumbling will help Bradshaw.
