Giants OT Shawn Andrews Sent To Local Hospital With Back Pain

Discussion in 'New York Giants' started by BigBlueBruiser, Nov 25, 2010.

  1. According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, Giants offensive tackle Shawn Andrews was sent to the hospital Thursday because his back pain was too intense to practice. Andrews was able to practice on a limited basis yesterday, so this is certainly a setback. Andrews has struggled with back problems for years. He fought through his most recent episode, which developed during the November 14 game against the Cowboys, to play in the November 21 loss to his former team, the Eagles. They'll be in a tough spot if he's unable to go this weekend against the Jaguars, but they do have a solid backup in second-year player William Beatty.
