Titans Assistant Mike Heimerdinger Will Call Plays Vs. Texans

Discussion in 'Tennessee Titans' started by BigBlueBruiser, Nov 25, 2010.

  1. Tennessee offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger is back at work and will call the plays Sunday when the Titans visit the Houston Texans before starting his treatment for cancer. Coach Jeff Fisher says Heimerdinger met with his doctors and will start his treatment Monday. The coordinator feels good enough to return to work, and Fisher said they continue praying for Heimerdinger on a very emotional day Thursday, but the Titans (5-5) are very happy to see Heimerdinger well enough to return. Rookie quarterback Rusty Smith will be making his first NFL start against the Texans (4-6). Heimerdinger's son is an intern in the Texans' scouting department, and he flew to Nashville on Wednesday to join his family.

Let's hope Rusty Smith, whoever he is, makes everyone forget about the crybaby QB.
