The Washington Redskins have waived Joey Galloway and signed rookie Terrence Austin off the practice squad in a switch of wide receivers, the team announced Saturday. Galloway, in his first season with the Redskins, had 12 receptions for 173 yards in 10 games, but he failed to emerge as a factor on offense. He has 701 catches for 10,950 yards and 77 touchdowns during his 16 NFL seasons. Galloway, a star at Ohio State, was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons in Seattle before making stops with the Dallas Cowboys (2000-03), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2004-08) and New England Patriots (2009). Source: NFL.com
Amazing he stuck around this long....he'll turn 40 next season. Only one receiver has played in his 40's (Jerry Rice).
