Texans WR Andre Johnson, Titans CB Cortland Finnegan Ejected For Brawl

Houston's Andre Johnson and Tennessee's Cortland Finnegan were involved in a fist fight that got both players ejected in the fourth quarter Sunday. Finnegan hit Johnson in the mouth at the line of scrimmage and Johnson ripped Finnegan's helmet off. Johnson threw him to the ground as his helmet came off and the receiver punched him at least twice in the head and face. The two had been pushing and jawing earlier in the game and Johnson has called Finnegan's antics annoying in the past. Johnson was escorted off the field while Finnegan remained on it before the referees announced that both players were ejected.

He's already done the Muhammad Ali thing once this year....

 

Johnson is suspended, guaranteed.

He punched Finnegan, closed fist, in the face. Not the helmet, the face.

Crap, Finnegan could sue him for that crap.

I don't care how rough or dirty Finnegan was playing or talking, that is unacceptable.

 

Thats Finnegans bad for letting his helmet get torn off. He started crap and got punked. Aj should get a pat on the back from Goodell.

 

It's not necessarily guaranteed that Johnson will be suspended. It's his first incident and he's one of the "good guys" in the league. They may not suspend him off the bat like that.

 

At least Johnson stopped when the ref came over. Could have turned into a really nasty brawl if he didn't back away.

 

Hasn't there been some talk around the league that Finnegan is a dirty player?
