Minnesota Vikings halfback Adrian Peterson and left end Ray Edwards expect to undergo MRIs on Monday to determine the extent of their respective ankle injuries. Both players left Sunday's 17-13 win over the Washington Redskins in the second quarter and did not return, although they returned to the bench after halftime with their helmets and full pads. "I would have tried to go out there," said Peterson, who was off to a fast start with 70 combined yards on seven touches. "Trust me, if I could have went, I would have been out there. But it was just unbearable." Edwards said he believed teammate Kevin Williams rolled into the back of one of his legs on a pass rush in the final minute of the half. Source: ESPN Radio 1500
Was sickening to see Peterson get hurt. Amazing though, Frazier pulls the team together for their first road win since last year at Lambeau, and he does it without Peterson for over half the game.
He'll be fine, he wanted to go back in but the coaches kept him out. I think we may have seen him again if he were needed.
