Cowboys running back Tashard Choice hasn't asked his coaches why he hasn't played more this season. “I don't ask because it'll only make me mad,†the team's website quoted Choice as saying. “They can't tell me a reason.†He got one Tuesday from Jerry Jones. The owner suggested Choice has been held back by his poor special-teams play. “First of all, Tashard needs to be a better special-teams player,†Jones said on his weekly radio show. “Your third back has to be a real contributor on special teams, and he's not. And that really handicaps him.†Jones pointed out that New Orleans' Anthony Hargrove blasted Choice while covering a kickoff in the Saints' 30-27 win over the Cowboys last week. “He got big-boyed strong out there Thanksgiving Day, and it was one of his old buddies at Georgia Tech, and I mean he got it put on him,†Jones told Dallas' KRLD-FM. But when Felix Jones has looked so bad at times, you'd think they'd have tried out the 3rd rb who is definite quality back. I'd say the reason is that Ol Jerry has a good deal of investment in Felix Jones (from his alma mater) doing well, so Jones is getting as much time as he needs to be the No1.
