Eagles Would Ask For Two First-Round Picks For QB Kevin Kolb

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles also could shop quarterback Kevin Kolb. But keep in mind that when they did that last offseason, they asked one team for at least two first-round picks in return, according to an NFL source. It is a stance that Philadelphia refused to budge on -- at least two first-round picks for Kolb or no deal. If the Eagles wanted that much for Kolb last offseason, there's no reason to think they would take much less this offseason. It is why another season of Vick and Kolb in Philadelphia is, in injury report parlance, probable.

Somebody might give up a 1 first rounder, but I dont think KOLb is even worth a first round pick.. at most a second round pick.. I could see the Bills giving up a first round pick for KOLB.

:drevil: :laughpound: i think at best he is worth a 3rd. maybe if he played the full year as a starter the Eagles get a 1st.

He's worth a first IMO if you want to make him your guy. The Eagles did all the prep work on him, saving you a lot of time. And if he doesn't play out, you'll know sooner and it'll save you more time, even though it cost you a pick.

But two firsts, thems crack prices. I give them two fists if they say that to my face.

This. Especially if the right player is available at the right time.

Although... what age was McNabb when they drafted Kolb, his future replacement? Not much older than Vick.

Tey are only going to give out one franchise QB contract and based on what we have seen, that should go to Vick.

I'll be sad if Kolb goes. :icon_sad:

They want 2 first round picks for a guy they drafted in the second round and is not even the starting QB on their team? :Loco:

Guarantee you there are teams ready to give up a 1st for this guy. Look at some of the horsecrap penciled in as the starter on some teams.

You've got one, maybe two, good QB prospects in the draft. The rest is crap.

As has been said before, dude is ready to go. Ready for an opportunity. He hasn't been given many opportunities (the injury in Green Bay screwed his chance up with Vick playing lights out) and has shown mixed results (he destroyed the Falcons early this year, got his butt handed to him by Tennessee), but you give him a season worth of starts and I am sure you'd see results.

And look, the Eagles know that no team will give up two 1st rounders. This is where they are starting the bidding.

Does it not make more sense to start the bidding at two 1sts and make it seem like they are bending taking a 1st and a 3rd as opposed to saying it would only take a 1st or a 1st and a 3rd?

The way Vick plays the game, I'm not sure of logevity. I'd sure hate to ride all the marbles on him by dumping Kolb.

The Eagles might get a bite of a first rounder from the Cards...but im not sure if there is another team that would do that.

I would give up a third and a conditional pick for him.

As usual I think your wrong Crowned. If they don't get at least 1 1st I think he will stay an Eagle. Time will tell. With the way we move around the draft and stock up mid to late picks I don't much care. If we got 2 firsts for him we'd never use em. We'd end up having something like 4-7 day 3 picks most of which wouldn't make the team anyway.
