Browns head coach Eric Mangini isn’t exactly pinning his hopes to quarterback Jake Delhomme, but he did indicate Monday that the veteran’s struggles at Buffalo’s didn’t move him behind Seneca Wallace. Mangini said Delhomme will start at Cincinnati unless rookie Colt McCoy’s ankle injury is healed to the extent he can be effective. Delhomme looked jumpy at times, seemed upset with play calls at other times, and got nothing going in the passing game. He dropped back 22 times, completing 12 balls, taking one sack, losing a fumble and throwing an interception. Aside from a 34-yard throw to Mohamed Massaquoi and a 15-yarder to Brian Robiskie, he had 10 very dinky completions for 42 yards. Source: Canton Repository
Man, I don't understand this at all. Wallace is a better QB than Delhomme. Hell, I'm a better QB than Delhomme.
